Google Cloud announces new partnership with crypto exchange

Google Cloud has announced a new long-term strategic partnership with crypto exchange Coinbase “to better serve the growing Web3 ecosystem and its developers.” The deal will allow Coinbase to benefit from Google Cloud’s infrastructure and data analytics and expand the business scope of cryptocurrency.

New research from Gartner has found that global end-user spending on public cloud services is set to reach $591.8 billion by 2023, up from $490.3 billion this year and beyond the year’s 18.8 per cent growth forecast.

UK cloud adoption outpacing EU average

The UK is the sixth largest cloud user compared to other countries in the European Union, outpacing the EU average, according to new statistics published by Eurostat. The European Statistical Office has revealed that British businesses have a relatively high cloud service adoption rate of 41.9 per cent, compared to an average of adoption rate of 26.2 per cent amongst other EU nations.

Ryanair backs public cloud with AWS deal

Low-cost airline company Ryanair is poised to take a large chunk of its online operations to the public cloud after signing an enormous deal with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Ryanair has aimed to close the “vast majority” of its datacentres for some time, targeting a final date of 2021 for them all to be closed.
