Commitment to information security and business continuity
hSo today announced that it had been awarded an ISO 27001 certificate, following independent audits of its information security management by ISOQAR, a certification body accredited by The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). hSo joins a prestigious group of organisations in the forefront of certifying to this international standard.
"hSo is proud to have received the very significant ISO 27001 certification from ISOQAR, a UKAS awarding body," said Chris Evans, Managing Director of hSo.
"Data security is of paramount importance both to us and to our customers. Attaining the highest information security accreditation, the ISO 27001, is a fantastic achievement for hSo and shows our continued commitment to information security and data protection."
To gain certification, hSo underwent a thorough procedure to demonstrate the effectiveness of its information security management system (ISMS) and to satisfy the demand of an independent external auditing body.
For customers, ISO 27001 certification and the robust ISMS mean that hSo is employing consistent, best of class security with regards to logical and physical access to information. Protecting information is fundamental to hSo’s business and to the services it provides.
ISO 9001, the most widely recognised quality management certification has also been awarded to hSo. The certification is based on an external audit and covers the design, development, installation and on-going support of telecom and information technology solutions.
"Achieving ISO 9001 certification reinforces hSo's determination to provide the highest level of customer service", said Chris Evans, managing director of hSo. "When choosing service partners, customers look for consistency in the delivery of services. Our investment in systems, processes and people, evidenced by the achievement of the certification, allows us to deliver this consistency in Cloud-based IT services."
The ISO 9001:2008 standard is only awarded to companies who can evidence effective and documented processes for communicating with customers regarding product and service development, implementation, delivery and monitoring including risk and complaint mitigation, and have in place a framework for the ongoing review of such processes and procedures.
The certification covers a broad range of hSo services including WAN, telephony, internet access, network security, data centre and hosting applications.
To gain certification, hSo underwent a thorough procedure to demonstrate the effectiveness of its quality management system (QMS), a system which includes the operational processes for the delivery and continual improvement of services.
