Leased Line Availability – Can You Get One? What Speeds Can You Get?
Leased line availability depends on three key factors: i) location ii) the bandwidth required iii) your budget.
If money is no object, you can get a leased line almost anywhere in the UK, as long as your landlord doesn't stand in the way of the line being installed. BT and others will literally dig up miles of road and pavement, if you're willing to pay the cost of them doing so.
If you're after 100Mbps or 1Gbps and are not in the middle of nowhere, you're probably in luck. Most leased line providers will be happy to extend their networks as required to supply you. It's worth their while.
But what if you have a more modest budget?
UK leased line availability depends on how close you are to the main UK telecom networks. The closer those networks are, the cheaper it will be for you to get connectivity.
The easiest way to check the availability of leased lines is to go to a website like ours, and put in the postcodes of the site(s) you wish to connect up. Our leased line pricing tool checks what the major carriers can provide at each location, and gives you a price.
