hSo has added CityFibre as a supplier

How do we connect your sites to our network? By using basic circuits from network operators such as Openreach, BT Wholesale, Virgin Media, TalkTalk, Vodafone, KCOM, Colt and Neos Networks. 

We're delighted to add CityFibre to this list of suppliers. Why? Because they're shaking things up.

They are building what is likely to become the UK's third largest full-fibre network after Openreach's and Virgin Media's.

By 2025, this will give us an additional way to connect just under a third of UK sites. We expect this will result in keener prices and faster circuit installations at around 800,000 UK business premises and 400,000 public sector sites.

Right now, CityFibre has fully completed around 25% of their network build. However, they've raised the billions needed to finance their network's roll-out and have appointed experienced contractors. So we're confident they'll be able to increase their network footprint rapidly over the next three years.

The presence of CityFibre should provide additional price competition - allowing us to offer even better prices to customers in affected areas.

hSo selected to help UK public sector make the most of the cloud

The UK Government operates a number of procurement frameworks. These make it easier for UK public sector bodies to purchase services from pre-vetted suppliers at reasonable prices.

hSo has just been selected as a supplier under one such framework - G-Cloud 13 - which covers cloud-based services such as hosting. 

We already host quite a few public sector bodies server-based workloads. Partly, that's because in addition to hosting, we're trusted to connect organisations to the NHS's Health and Social Care Network. 

There's often a perception that the public sector is behind when it comes to IT adoption. That's not our experience. You might be surprised at the degree of workflow digitisation that's been going on behind the scenes.
